The Package by Sebastian Fitzek

Plot:
Emma was attacked and raped in her hotel room by a predator commonly referred to as The Hairdresser, due to his penchant for shaving the head of his victims. She is convinced of this but not everyone believes her, not even her husband. It has left her with understandable fears of everyday life. She has given up her job as a doctor and stays at home where she feels safe and secure in the knowledge that her aggressor won't find her. After all, his previous victims were all murdered. Then she is persuaded to accept a package for a neighbor. She has no idea what she’s let into her home…
“I am really happy about finding this author. The package was his first book that I read and I really enjoyed it. It is very well written and has the right amount of action and plot twists. It was difficult to tell what was real and what fantasy, which made it even more interesting”

There is no cell phone reception, no telephone, and no way out. One of her fellow travelers is a kidnapper. But which one?
“I know I am a bit weird reading about heavy snowstorms in August. I just needed something to cool me off the 42 degrees in my hometown. Not gonna lie I found it a bit slow and boring at the beginning. But I hung in there and it turned out to be a really good thriller. It was intense, exciting, and took some interesting turns. It would also be a great movie”

#1 Beach read by Emily Henry
Plot:
Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes bestselling romance. When she pens a happily ever after, he kills off his entire cast. They're polar opposites. In fact, the only thing they have in common is that for the next three months, they're living in neighboring beach houses, broke, and bogged down with writer's block. Until, one hazy evening, one thing leads to another and they strike a deal designed to force them out of their creative ruts…
“Literally the perfect “beach read”. Right now, all I need is reading books that make me forget what’s going on in the world and make me smile and laugh. And this swoon rom-com did it! We all need a bit of Gus and January in our life!”

#2  Babel by Gaston Dorren
Plot:
Among many other things, Babel will teach you why modern Turks can’t read books that are a mere 75 years old, what it means in practice for Russian and English to be relatives, and how Japanese developed separate “dialects” for men and women. Dorren lets you in on his personal trials and triumphs while studying Vietnamese in Hanoi, debunks ten widespread myths about Chinese characters, and discovers that Swahili became the lingua franca in a part of the world where people routinely speak three or more languages.
“If you’re interested in languages and the story behind them, this is a very fun read. The author talks about a different language in each chapter. For example the first chapter is about Vietnamese. Even if you don’t agree with everything that he says, it is still a joyful and educative linguistic adventure”
