A summer certainly not like the others in many ways. Maybe the fact that it's August and you are still stuck home or at the office, maybe everything that’s going on right now, somehow our mood find it’s swinging way every day! Honestly, we’ve been there finding ourselves feeling a bit under the weather thus, here we are to give you our August suggestions on series and movies to love, to forget and live by this summer!

I'm sure you've seen a lot of new releases, but you don't know which one to choose first – oh God do we watch a lot of trailers. So take notes on our must see selection of movies and series, but be ready cause we do include some very soapy, steamy style views.

Mirketa’s Suggestions (Tv series)

Physical

A summer light one to travel a little back in time with an intense 80's aesthetic and Rose Bryan transforming into a modern Jane Fonda. Shayla is a troubled wife who lives in San Diego in the 80s.  Externally everything seems idyllic, but behind those closed doors, her life is almost nightmarish, until she discovers that aerobics is her thing! And just without noticing it becomes the mastermind of an up-and-coming industry.

Fleabag

It doesn't matter if you’re a woman or a man, normally there shouldn't be girls' and men's movies nor series, so stop what you're doing and put this series on your watchlist NOW. Fleabag the 30plus woman in modern London who, very innocently, seeks lost happiness, companion, her identity. Fleabag isn't innocent at all, though. She falls in love with one night stand, doesn't appreciate her sweet boring boyfriend, isn't the daughter her father would be proud of. It's one of those series worth seeing because you'll have been caught up in the feeling and awareness of the truth raw with pain and shame but also completely self-sarcastic.

Political

Netflix's check mate move last year to recruit Ryan Murphy in order to create new series was a sure success. The director and producer strikes again with a dynamic series that vividly reminisces about his "Glee" self. In "Politico" nothing and everything makes sense, everything seems like it's serious and not enough at the same time. Everything that happens is heavy-hearted as well as weak, and the aesthetics of the series have a soap opera. It all happens at a luxury private high school in America that prepares America's new presidents.

Series to chill: SexLife

The series is slightly  based on B.B Easton's book 44 Chapters About 4 Men followed by Billie, a wife and mother who has just moved to the Connecticut suburbs with her new husband. As a former Wild Child of New York, Billie reminisces about her past and especially sex with her ex. She decides to defuse her thoughts in a diary that falls unannounced into her husband's hands, but the developments are very different from what she feared. A story that in many places you can take as a comedy and bases its aesthetic on something more light to pass the time.

Elena’s Suggestions (movies)

Things Heard and Seen

Suspenseful rather a horror movie .. A Manhattan couple who just moved to a historic village in the Hudson Valley discovers that their marriage hides a vicious, dark force that goes against the history of their new home. The story unfolds like a tangle starring Amanda Shayfried.

Horrible Bosses (1&2)

A comedy worth watching thanks to its cast! With the availability of Horrible Bosses 2 on Netflix you can enjoy both together in a marathon of couch chilling. The most incredible stories ever told between bosses and employees, with Jennifer Aniston and many other celebrity actors in such contradictive roles.

Fatherhood

Kevin Heart acquires a different role that in his own way becomes funny and self-sarcastic in a story that differs from the social messages we usually see. A widower undertakes the most difficult task in the world: fatherhood trying to raise his little girl alone after the unexpected death of his wife who died a day after the birth of their daughter.

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood

Among the Netflix trendings as Tarantino brought together two huge actors in a film with his signature and iconic short stories that are somewhat connected to each other. With Far West aesthetics, lucky enough to see Brad Pitt half-naked and Leonardo Di Caprio embody the sexy cowboy within a backdrop of spectacularly staged sets and a rather confusing story many saying blending with Polanski’s life true story!

Hope you enjoy our selections of series and movies and enjoy a mindful summer
